Project Goal:
Enabling a unique local artisans group of both genders from Historic Cairo to creative design skills. Enhancing their ability and capacity building to effective interaction with designers, production quality, and entrepreneurial skill. This will create economic empowerment and job creation for local artisans. This will help to sustain vanishing handicrafts industry.
Project Objectives:
The project targets 135 local community members (70% of them are women) to mastering the traditional crafts (Khayamiyya, wooden home accessories, leather products, and jewelry form copper and other various materials) in order to empower them joining handicrafts labor market.
