Project Goal:
Provide the needed support Al Darb Al Ahmar area to traditional crafts through empowerment of 48 woman from Al Darb Al Ahmar local community to mastering Khayamiyya craft. This will enhance their vocational abilities reaching decent jobs and creating competent generation from artisans preserving this craft from vanishing through step after another: craft basic skills learning, modern and developed designs training, trade guilds capacity building, and computer aided marketing and design training)
Project Objectives:
- Provide skills training for 48 women from Al-Darb al-Ahmar community.
- Preparing a new generation of trained artisans
- Preserving the Khayamiyya craft from the hazard of extinction.
- Conduct computer-based design training.
- Conduct business linkages and trade guilds training and capacity building sessions.
- Implementing marketing training and opening marketing channels.
