E-Learning, Traditional Carpentry, Sustaining Intangible Heritage, Economic Development, Entrepreneurial Skills Development, Career Development, Youth Empowerment, Gender Equality.
Project Goal:
Facilitating job opportunities for youth, providing new career options for 222 youth of both genders. This will be applied by teaching them new skills and transferring knowledge through e-learning in the fields of: general carpentry, doors and windows carpentry, mashrabiya carpentry, and entrepreneurial skills.
Project objectives:
- Empowering Mezalla Foundation to become an e-Learning Center to maximize its social and economic empowerment impact by applying e-learning concepts and techniques. This will expand its outreach to target groups supporting their career development and accessing new job opportunities.
- Implementing the learning-by-doing methodology, offering several courses in various branches of carpentry and entrepreneurship skills.
- Providing online vocational training and face-to-face practical exercises in the training center.
- Conducting trainee-to-trainer practical workshops in the carpentry workshop of Mezalla Foundation.
- Introducing facilitation techniques and capacity building in the training of trainers’ courses by the beginning of the project (initial stage).
- Organizing introductory, an intermediate and a final workshops for those who cannot have access to neither internet nor computers.
- Producing videos for 42 lessons of 186 minutes total in: general carpentry, doors and windows carpentry, and mashrabiya carpentry.
- Producing videos for 14 lessons 58 minutes total in entrepreneurial skills.
